9 Modern Rules To Stay Happy

Sadness is the biggest disease or disorder. People generally ask How do you stay happy all the time? Is it possible by any chance? It is not at possible to stay happy all the time. Worst situation comes and we react in weird way. That’s pretty normal with each and everyone. But you can try to be happy and calmer. In this post, I want to show you Modern rules to stay happy. If this does not make you happy, then I do not know what will!

1. Find out what is your priority.

How can you be happy if you don’t know what makes you happy? This is why you should know about your strength and weakness. You should know what makes you happy in a particular situation. You should always manage your work according to your priorities and need. You should always focus on your strengths.  Being able to realize your full potential through exploiting your strengths is one of the best ways of finding happiness and helping to make the world a better place.

2. Give yourself permission.

Give yourself permission to be who you are; permission to stay alone, permission to socialise, permission to laugh big, permission to travel, to cry when you need to, to rest, to fail brilliantly, to make stuff; permission to fall apart, breakdown, and get back up again; permission to be different and unique; permission to go too far and reach your dreams.

Everything is important in life that is called as cycle. Every person is different hence is his need. You should always give permission to yourself to do things as you want. if you are an introvert, give yourself time to be alone, extrovert should have time to socialise.

3. Don’t compare.

Comparison has been compared to a little death. When we compare ourselves or others, we harm the internal feeling. Every one has different capacity and different interest. You don’t have to do a job if someone else is doing it. Happy people know that they’re no better or less than another person. Someone will always be at a “more evolved place” and someone will always be “less-evolved.”

Note to self: Be concerned with only how to do your best and that’s all.

4. Choose uplifting friendships.

Choose your friends wisely. Your friends leave a great impact on your life. You should have friendships and conversations that are uplifting, supportive, and loving, with people interested in our betterment, we are on a faster track to our own enlightenment.

If you hang out with someone and don’t feel great afterward, or some who is always comparing, see less of that person and seek out other friendships.

5. Assume responsibility.

Most of the time, We blame other people, circumstances and even objects for our problems. “I’m this way because my dad didn’t love me enough”; “I hate my life because my mom is dominating”, “I hate my marriage because now i can not hangout my friends as much as I use to do.”-

But life is full of different people and situations: some are good and some are bad. Or may be no one is bad but they are different. Unless you assume responsibility for your life, you’ll always be at the mercy of those circumstances.

Instead of blaming others for what’s wrong in your life, focus on what you can do to make things better. Never sulk and try not to feel sorry for yourself too often. It’s your responsibility to make yourself happy: nobody else’s.

6.  Drink and eat adequate.

Food and water is necessity and not an option. Down a glass of water first thing in the morning. A majority of us don’t get enough fluids throughout the day and we end up depleted of our energy pool.

Only eating healthy is not the rule. Even, Professionals have a cheat day, where they indulge themselves a bit on something they fancy. So you can afford to eat or drink something that you’ve kept away from quite a while. Like Pastas always make me happy.

7. Exercise more

Exercise is what most of the people ignore. But exercise is something we should not miss. Always keep this in mind, our ancestors used to be more happy and healthy because they use to do more physical work and less of mental work. Modern world demand more of mental work but you should not ignore physical exercise totally.Exercising releases the good mood endorphins so that you are always in a better mood after a workout or simply a walk to the market.

8. Have a Clean Bed

This is something no body tells you. Change your sheets when you feel they are losing their freshly laundered smell. I love the scent of fresh sheets under which I can stay comfy in bed! Also, when you lie down on your bed, that dirt of unclean bed sheet can make you irritable and affect your sleep. A little detergent and water are a small price to pay for happiness.

9. Don’t forget your beauty sleep

When you do not get enough sleep, your negativity takes over big time. Sleep is as important as work.

These are really little things that take very little off your day but contribute to your happy-levels. But that doesn’t stop it from being important.
