Types of psoriasis

There are five types of Psoriasis

Spots are not thick as comparison to other types of Psoriasis. Guttate Psoriasis go away soon as comparison to others.

  1. Plaque Psoriasis

It is the most common type which is found in 80% of people.It forms thick red patches followed by silver or white scary layer. Patches in this  are approx 1 to 10 centimeters wide.

  1. Inverse Psoriasis

This shows the affected area as bright red, smooth and shiny skin. It does not involves scales. It can be increase while sweating and rubbing. It is mainly found in armpits, groins, under breasts, skin folds.

  1. Pustular Psoriasis

This kind of Psoriasis is rarely found and is uncommon. This is mostly found in adults. This may show with pus filled with red skin. This is rarely found but when it happens this may be serious so immediately get medical attention of a doctor.

This can cause fever, nausea, fast heart rate and muscle weakness.

  1. Erythrodermic Psoriasis

This is rare form of Psoriasis that affects almost all part of body. This mainly cause itching and burning of the are affected. This can further cause dehydration, heart failure, hypothermia and malnutrition.

Psoriatic Arthritis

Sometimes symptoms of psoriasis and arthritis occur at same time, this is known as psoritic arthritis. This is very painful autoimmune disease. This  is inflammatory type of psoriasis which occurs at the age of 30 to 50. Men and women both are equally  affected by this psoriasis.
